Currently, he is the Dean of Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Dental and Medical Sciences. He is also the Chief, Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Head & Neck Services.

He is a Fellow of International federation of head and neck oncology (IFHNOS) and Indian Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (IBOMS). He was awarded a prestigious certificate board degree by International Board of Oral & Maxillofaciall Surgen (IBSCOMS).

Dr.Mathan Mohan is also a senior and distinguished consultant at various renowned hospitals in Chennai.
