About Dr Mathan Mohan: Currently, he is the Dean of Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Dental and Medical Sciences. Also, he is the Chief, Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Head & Neck Services. He is also a senior and distinguished consultant at various renowned hospitals in Chennai.

Dr. Mathan manages an entire gamut of disorders in the fields of oral & maxillofacial surgery and head and neck surgical oncology. This also includes provision of emergency services pertaining to facial trauma and infections.

About Dr Mathan

Dr A Mathan Mohan was born in Arumuganeri in the Southern part of Tamilnadu, India in a small rural community. He matriculated from St. Thomas Matriculation Higher Secondary School in 1991. He completed his undergraduate dental education (BDS) from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu in the year 1998. Dr. Mathan went on to complete his speciality training (Post Graduation) in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University in 2002. During the period between 2002 and 2009, he was managing and treating the entire spectrum of conditions under oral & maxillofacial surgery. Besides, he had also worked in various capacities as an Assistant /Associate Professor in teaching hospitals.

Dr A Mathan Mohan had completed a Fellowship program in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at Narayana Hrudalaya Health City. He also completed a Fellowship Mazumdar Shaw Cancer Centre, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore in the year 2011. He also underwent the prestigious AOCMF fellowship from Hanover Medical School, Germany from February to April 2011. Dr. Mathan continued with his zest for knowledge to become a Fellow of International federation of head and neck oncology (IFHNOS) and Indian Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (IBOMS). He was also awarded a prestigious certificate board degree by International Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (IBSCOMS).

His team also includes highly dedicated and eminent specialists. They specialize in the field of craniofacial surgery, facial plastic & reconstructive surgery, oral implantology and orthodontics. Besides, Dr. Mathan and his associates have published regularly to communicate original clinical research to clinicians, medical scientists, and other healthcare workers.
